I am often asked how I define my work a lot. In a few words it’s waking, forgetting, repeating.

The second question I am asked the most is what inspires me? It sounds cliche but relates to the definition above. Things that blow my mind and change how I see life. It can be time immersed in nature, an art exhibit or a book. The last show I saw at the Asian Art Museum in SF was Awaken: A Tibetan Buddhist Journey Toward Enlightenment. What blew my mind was progression of the means to enlightenment and the massive creative altered states they must have gone through to manafest the display of the cosmos unfolding.  People think the radical ideas from outsider art, street art or even contemporary abstract expressionism of today is outrageous but if you go back in time you see it has been there all along.
